Stunner Baby Magazine was honored as a selected urban media company with exclusive media access and guest of Sony Bloggie team at Chicago’s Lollapalooza Music Festival, August 5-7, 2011. Sony Bloggie had a state-of-the art air conditioned tent to provide unique opportunities to experience the interactive demos of the Bloggie Touch HD snap camera to concert goers.

Fans could rent a Bloggie Touch camera for the day, play Band Hero and win some very cool prizes such as VIP passes and artist meet & greets! Temper Trap was on the scene to sign autographs for fans at the exclusive meet & greet in the Sony tent. Man! One of Chicago’s football legends, Hall of Famer Richard Dent former member of the Chicago Bears stopped by the Sony tent to check out the latest innovations. I was equally impressed with the array of cool Bloggie art on the VAIO computers in the Sony tent.

At the Sony tent, I was greeted by Rachelle Arcebido (Public Relations Strategist) for Sony Electronics Inc. who presented me with my very own Sony Bloggie Touch Mobile HD Snap Camera with metal gray chrome. As soon as the camera was removed from the box, I started examining the camera’s cool features and playing with its controls. Rachelle was gracious in having her Sony Bloggie team give a quick demo presentation. The Bloggie Touch was very durable with easy to figure out controls designed with one handed quick flick of the thumb controls. You have the ability to capture video as well of still image excellent for future media coverage and interviews.

About the Bloogie Touch…

Bloggie Touch features a snappy 3-inch touch-screen LCD, an f2.8 lens with auto macro, and full HD 1080p-resolution recording at 30 frames per second. Sony’s past mini camcorders have had “youthful” designs, came in multiple color options, and the devices and packaging were typical of mass-produced electronics–loaded up with stickers, bits of paper, and software discs. The packaging is a simple black box and not much else is in it beyond the device. The whole thing is a refreshing break from the presentation we’re used to seeing from large manufacturers.

You witnessed a star studded line-up; Friday: Wye Oak, The Naked and Famous, Foster the People” Foster the People,  Two Door Cinema Club, Crystal Castles; Saturday:  Grouplove, Phantogram,  Mayer Hawthorne & The County,  Local Natives, Atmosphere; Sunday:  Lord Huron, Imelda May,  The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Portugal The Man,  Explosions in the Sky.  Also, Deer Tick and F**k Buttons performed with bravado and energy!

The 20-year-old punk-rock festival made a big splash with alumni power bands and worthy newcomers together in Chicago for three rock star days to celebrate the festival’s 20th Anniversary edition – led by Eminem, Foo Fighters, Coldplay, Muse, My Morning Jacket, deadmau5, A Perfect Circle, Cee Lo Green, Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley & Nas, The Cars, and Ween. The 2011 bill is also loaded with acts from electronics to hip-hop, rock to avant-garde, and all the sounds in between, like Bright Eyes, Arctic Monkeys, Big Audio Dynamite, Deftones, Beirut, Explosions in the Sky, Death From Above 1979, Ratatat, Crystal Castles, Flogging Molly, Atmosphere, Cold War Kids and, Lykke Li to name a few.

Four-star Chicago chef and restaurateur Graham Elliot returned as the festival’s Culinary Director, overseeing all the wonderful food and ensuring that Chi-Town is once again a food paradise reflecting the unique flavors of Chicago.
