SB: How did you start your modeling career?

LK: “I was actually 8 months pregnant when I first decided to start modeling. I had just moved to Hawaii, and decided I wanted sexy photos of myself during this unique period in my life.  So I started networking with photographers, which wasn’t hard to do, and ended up shooting for sets of maternity photos in a month.   Apparently, I was a natural in front of the camera.  The photos turned out great!  All those years of aspiring to be an actress paid off.   After I gave birth, I thought my modeling days were over, but I was wrong, very wrong!”

SB: Why are your images so sexy and edgy? How would you describe your beauty?

LK:  ”I’m a self-expressionist and artist before a model, or even a brand.  My beauty is based on the perception of society.  Therefore I don’t feel limited to what other’s defining as “beautiful,” “sexy,” or “edgy.” I know perception changes very quickly.  I produce images I find to be beautiful and that express my best as an artist.  If others don’t agree with my ideals, I hope at least my works will help them change their perception.  Maybe even their definition of beautiful.”

SB: What advise would you give a model starting her career?

LK: ”It’s a tough job to have, and is very expensive to start your career.   It takes time, money, dedication, a strong backbone just to get your foot in the door.  Plus looks are only half if it.  Be ready to take direction, work without complaining for 10-12 hours at a time, and humbly accept rejection.  If you don’t, there will be another girl right behind you taking your place.”

SB: What major accomplishments have you made in your modeling career? What other noted talents do you have?

LK: ”I’ve worked with over 100 photographers in 5 years in major cities across the country.  I’ve executed over 300 photo shoots, have over 1000 in my online portfolio, and have print advertisements, magazine editorials, and publications across the globe.  I’ve worked for the Japanese cosmetic company Shiseido, and have a Blackberry Moviestar billboard advertisement in Spain. My biggest accomplishment has been the launch of my Media Marketing Production company, Ladie K Productions, Inc. February of 2011.  I am a producer specializing in media and marketing productions!   I make indie films, Conceptualize viral and guerrilla!”

SB: How did you hear about Stunner Baby Magazine?

LK: ”I heard about Stunner Baby Magazine through a casting call- and figured I’d represent the Urban Asian Stunner Baby!”
