Stunner Baby Magazine Music is driven to provide our readers with the shining female stars emerging as having radar driven buzz in the music industry.  It’s time to shine the spotlight on the energizing beauty and vocal smoothness of the attractive Tinashe, a Kentucky-born, Los Angeles-bred singer that’s bound for stardom.

After a stint in the female pop group the Stunners and a recurring role on the hit CBS TV series ‘Two and a Half Men,’ the ravishing beauty is back working on her shine as a singer and dancer. She’s already teamed up with Schoolboy Q for ‘2 On,’ a finger-snapping, bass-heavy track, on which she delivers the lavish life in the fast lane of hip hop street credibility. Tinashe has been credited with outstanding impact of “Black Water” (2012) mixtape. The RCA Records new artist is off to a solid start in 2014.

Tinashe Jorgensen Kachingwe whose name means “God is with us” in her father’s native language of Shona, has roots in Zimbabwe. In 2012, Tinashe released two critically acclaimed mixtapes ‘In Case We Die” (2012) and ‘Reverie’ (2012) which she created in her home studio. The song “2 On” (January 2014) lived as the #1 song on rhythm radio for over 4 weeks and has currently peaked at number 24 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, becoming her first Top 40 hit single. Apart from music, Tinashe is known for her acting. Tinashe made her acting debut in the television film, “Cora Unshamed” (2000). Tinashe has also appeared in the film “The Polar Express” alongside actor Tom Hanks, and from 2008 to 2009, Tinashe had recurring role in American sitcom “Two and a Half Men.”

Upon release “2 On” was met with generally positive reviews from music critics. J. Leeds of the online publication Idolator praised the song’s production calling it a “It a club thumper” and comparing the music video choreography to Janet Jackson and Britney Spears.

Tom Breihan of Stereogum commented on the throwback feel from the track saying “2 On” recreates some of the tropes of the late-’90s/early-’00s teen pop/R&B crossover era, but it does it within quotes” and also comparing the video having an Aaliyah vibe to it.  Although the song became her first hit and got a lot of people buzzing about the song, some listeners didn’t really understand the concept of the meaning of “2 On.” She spoke with VladTV to address this by saying “‘2 On’ is basically a new way of saying “turn up.” Being super hyped up with your friends when going out. I just wanted to come up with fresh phrase that people can catch on to.”
