Stunner Baby Magazine was all over the annual Black Entertainment Television Red Carpet Bash and Awards Extravaganza.  It was truly a Who’s Who for musical black celebrities’ ultimate “floss party!”  Man! The expensive gowns, tapered suits, power cars and stunning eye candy were everywhere. Nicki Minaj, Kanye West, Wiz Khalifa and Jaden and Willow Smith also were among the night’s winners.

Comedian Kevin Hart hosted the awards show, which aired live on BET. The funnyman is truly a fool with his in-your-face comedy delivery.  His hilarious “No Man” monologue was funny as hell! No one was safe as he talked about Trey Songz, Diddy, Ne-Yo, Fabolous, Busta Rhymes, and Jamie Fox to name a few.

Chris Brown was the big winner at the BET Awards, taking home four awards during the live telecast from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. Brown received the first award of the night, best male R&B artist.

“All my fans are everything to me,” he said in accepting the award. “I know it’s been a long road. I just appreciate every blessing that’s been put in front of me.”

Brown has been embroiled by a scandal laden two years odyssey with the fall out of his abusive treatment of megastar Rihanna. The scandal-prone singer has had a rough couple of years. Just last week, he retreated from comments in which he used the word “gay” as an insult. He also was forced to apologize for a meltdown on the Good Morning America set earlier this year.

It was cool to witness some much needed oxygen back into Brown’s stellar music career.  Brown also accepted the award for best collaboration for ”Look at Me Now” featuring Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes. He performed the song with Rhymes during the show.

Also during the live telecast, there was a huge gaffe that resulted in the wrong name being called for the Coca-Cola Viewers’ Choice Award. A fan who was presenting first read Brown’s name, then changed to Rihanna and Drake, the latter of who called the situation “awkward” while on stage.

Scoring high style marks: Kerry Washington in fluorescent Michael Kors, Alicia Keys’ take on menswear, Patti LaBelle in a long navy coat and matching sheath and Mary J. Blige, who apparently looks amazing in anything she puts on these days. And 4-stars go to 10-year-old Willow Smith for wearing a t-shirt with her dad as the Fresh Prince printed on it.

In addition, Steve Harvey was presented with the State Farm Humanitarian Award. In his acceptance speech, he said the award was a testament to God and his power, as well as his own mother.

The night also featured performances from Blige and Anita Baker; Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, DJ Khaled and Ace Hood; Alicia Keys and Bruno Mars; Jill Scott and Trey Songz; and Donnie McClurkin, Mary Mary and Deitrick Haddon.
